Girls’Haven is successful because we have an exemplary and dedicated staff.

Alice Teeler
Executive Director
Alice’s 20 years of experience in the social service field has prepared her for success at Girls’ Haven. She, along with her staff and Board of Directors, are constantly looking for ways to improve services and develop new programs. Alice currently holds her Child Care Administrators License and plans on pursuing a masters degree.

 

Julie Fregia
Program Director
Julie’s career in child advocacy and community outreach have prepared her to oversee the programs for all Girls’ Haven residents.  Julie manages all direct care staff, case managers, scheduling, and ensures our girls’ exceptional care while entrusted to Girls’ Haven. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Lamar University in Applied Arts and Sciences and began pursuing her Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Behavior.

 

Alan Apperson, M. Ed, LPC-Supervisor
Treatment Director
Alan oversees all aspects of our girls’ mental and emotional well being. He is experienced in “at risk” teens with major mental health disorders as well as, anxiety, depression, and anger. He  specializes in individual, family, and marriage counseling. Alan brings the experience and understanding needed to allow our girls to heal from past traumas. Alan holds a BS in Psychology from Texas A&M and a M.Ed Cslg & Development from Lamar University. In addition, he is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor.

 

Jade Rayburn
Development Director
 Jade is a Beaumont native with a passion for service to better the lives of others. Jade holds a degree in business management and has spent her career in non-profit development and community relations. Jade’s primary focus is fundraising, event and volunteer management, and donor relations.

Christine McNeely
Business Manager
Christine is a dedicated non-profit professional with a degree in business management. As business manager she insures that the office runs smoothly and that all financial transactions and audits are handled professionally. Her sixteen years in office management also enable her to operate human relations, financial transactions for the girls, and provide assistance to the board of directors in their fundraising efforts.

 

Jackie Smith
Food Service Director
Jackie ensures the girls are prepared healthy and tasty meals. She is responsible for all kitchen health codes and kitchen staffing.

 

Rob Turner
Maintenance Director
Rob is the director of all house, vehicle and equipment maintenance. He also insures we are current on all fire and safety standards
